I wanted to do one more zentangle for art everyday month… it's 11:51pm in Idaho where I live so I am cutting it close. I did a lot better this year doing something almost everyday. I think partly because I really enjoy creating the zentangles… well need to get to bed to go to work in the am…. Thanks for looking….

Zentangle #20 - revamped... altered...

I played around with my zentangle #20 today in my Corel....  I was a consummed with this today.  (Deb... I have been trying how to email you back but yes I think I am going to print this into fabric).  I put four together, flipped and mirrored and merged them together.  I then played with the color and finally turned it into a frame.  It is a lot of fun....  Thanks for looking!

Zentangle #20

This is my zentanlge #20…. Started it while cooking Thanksgiving dinner and finished this morning. I always seem to start a lot of these while I am cooking…. I wanted to see what it looked like rotated giving it different perspectives…. I am going to play around in my corel program to see what more things I can do to it…. My mind is spinning with ideas….. Not having the best luck in finishing my zentangle in one day…. Started this yesterday and then completed this morning. I was inspired by another blog and I am sorry but I need to find it to reference it but, she did an outline of her hand as the basis of her zentangle… I tried it and this is what I came up with. I love the inspiration you get from other blogs….
Now I must get my shopping list ready for Thanksgiving dinner… my husband is going to do this for me while I am at work today. Thanks for looking and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

zentanlge #18

I started this doodle the other day when I had a stressful day at work. I actually wasn't ready to finish it till today for some reason. Not sure why but I guess that was just how I was feeling. This is a short weekend… one day only worked yesterday. Need to accomplish a lot today will attempt shortly… thanks for looking...

Zentangle #17

Today I woke up with the a Beatles song in my head…. "woke up, fell out of bed, dragged a comb across my head"… I think my zentangle represents how I felt this morning… it's been a very busy past few weeks at work and I had a splitting headache when I got home yesterday and woke up with that song in my head… kind of funny. Well the week is almost over but working Saturday to take the Friday off after Thanksgiving…. Well need to get to bed, need to get to work early… thanks for looking!

some creative things....

The past few days since my last post, I have been working on my scrapbook project. I have actually put together 2 more pages… there is a little bit more to do to them but, these are a couple of the pictures that I put on the pages. In working with my pictures I can't believe how fast my kids have grown up... it is amazing. The more I use my Corel program the more I learn and figure out how to do things like make my own frames…. It is a lot of fun… I drew another zentangle today. It's funny how you just start drawing some lines and create something. I am contemplating going to bed or trying to stay up till midnight to see the meteor shower ummm not sure… thanks for looking!

11/12/09 - DOODLE #15

I started this zentangle on 11/11 and have finished it up this morning before going to work. I really go into a zone when I do these… my mind just thinks of all kinds of things… usually things that are bugging me. These are very relaxing for me to do… thanks for looking!

Monday 11/9/09 zentanlge.....

Here is my zentangle for today… #14 I started off by drawing the eye and proceeded to draw everything in while cooking dinner. I drew lines which in my mind followed a cheek, nose line and even hair… when I started drawing this zentangle I was thinking about day at work today and what a challenge it was in many ways…. Tomorrow is another day and of course, another challenge…. After I scanned in my zentangle/doodle, I decided to play around with it in my corel paint shop pro.

Above is my alteration of my zentangle and it is the chalk effect and below is the enamel effect.


I had read an article in one of my magazines…. Cloth, paper scissors or Quilting Arts (cant remember which) and this gal used her photo program and altered a drawing and the printed it out on fabric. Ummmm might be the next thing I try…. To many things to try. Well, end of the day and I am tired….thanks for looking!

Sunday - creative with scrapbooking

Today my creativity was with creating a scrapbooking page. I am working on a scrap book for my youngest daughter for her birthday in December. She will be turning 21 so the book will be from birth until now. This page is from about a year old. It is very fun to do… would like to get a new computer that would handle the digital part better . My computer is a few years old like 5 so my program crashes every once in a while…. Thanks for looking!

a day behind

I started this zentangle yesterday and finished it this morning…. Work has been a challenge which makes it a challenge to be creative on some days but, I didn’t let it overcome me and started this drawing last night before I fell asleep watching TV and finished this morning watching TV… I actually always zone out when I watch TV and just listen to it as background noise…. I don't know about anyone else but, I always need to be doing something and can't just sit there and watch TV… thanks for looking onto weekend chores!

art everday... day 4

I started this yesterday had the circle drawn and a sketchy outer rim. Today I really focused on it and at first I didn't like it. Now that I have completed it, I like how my "zentangle" turned out. I started messing with it when I was making dinner and then finished up watching the world series… I love ball and watching it. My team I like is the SF Giants but I enjoyed watching the Philly's and the Yankee's. I totally finished it watching the Biggest Loser that I recorded on my DVR… kept falling asleep and missing the whole thing…. I have also been working on some photo's for a scrapbook I am doing digitally. Will have to upload one to show…. well thanks for looking time for bed to get ready for another day of work!

art everyday

Here are my latest zentangles.... numbers 10 & 11....

One of my goals for art everyday is to either create a new zentangle or work on my appliqué quilt that I have had in progress for too many years! This was a block of the month that I had at my shop back in the day. I only have a bit to hand appliqué and then I can put the top together…. I have prepared the pieces and have everything together to work on it… I am hoping by the end of the month to have the top pieced and sandwiched together to start quilting….

Stampede Photos...

Where I live they have the Snake River Stampede and I took some great shots there this year… (at least I like them). At work we are have a photo contest and I did some layering and adjustments for the above photo. I liked how it turned out and I have also printed a copy for myself. Below is the photo with out the "creative" adjustments that I am also turning into our contest at work.
