Zentangle #23

Zentangle #23... and what a nice long weekend! I finished this zentangle, worked on creating background pages for a... not sure what for. They are for the "on-line" class I am taking.  I think I will either put the altered photo's to make like and "album" or use them to make a visual journal. Not sure of  which directions I am going to take... depends on the photos. Thanks for looking!

Something different than a zentangle....

I have been working on an on-line class as I mentioned before so, I selected the photo below to alter, printed it black & white...

This one turned out like this after being altered....

Then I printed out the same picture in color and cropped a bit.... as below:

and then I proceded to alter it by painting it....

I don't think it's to bad for the first time trying this... I am going to try a few more. When I took these photos I was clear across the arena.  I am going to go again this year but I am going to get tickets for seat near the gates where the riders come out.  My camera didn't do to bad of a job.  I have more pictures I am going to print out and alter.  Well, thanks for looking!

I love quotes and I have a bunch and this one struck me as kinda of funny because there are sometimes when I should mumble but I use my out loud voice... of to work where I should mumble.... thanks for looking!

CED this month has been about intuition and I was trying to think about it maybe a little bit too hard and realized that when I draw a zentangle I actually use intuition to create it…. I didn't think I had intuition with what I was doing until I was working on this zentangle and it occured to me I never know what I am going to do when I start. As I go, I intuitively know what I am going to draw next. They are never planned out and I stop when I think I am done. I even looked up the definition in the dictionary: 1. a. The capacity of knowing without the use of rational processes. b. Knowledge acquired in this way. 2. Keen insight.  Thanks for looking!

new inspiration

I have started this on-line class.... Anti-Scrapbooking and attempted to alter a photo... now I did do it digitally next I am going to print out the same black and white photo and alter it with paint and markers...

I had fun... this is a picture of my brother and sister when we were really young at my grandparents who lived in a little to called Manton in California... I think I am going to watch some tv now and work on a zentangle I have in process.... thanks for looking!

Graduation and Zentangle #20

Proud parents of a college graduate!... very busy this past weekend and we were very excited!

First step in doing my zentangle #20...

We were very excited at our house with our oldest graduating from college with a degree in Elementry Education... took some days off of work which was very much needed... 

I uploaded my latest zentangle in 3 different steps to kind of show the process I go through when I draw them... I start of by drawing some lines and then begin to fill them in.  I have also signed up to take an on-line class from

Alisa Burke .  It is called Antiscrapbooking.. I have watched the first two videos about manipulating a photo... I can't wait to try it...

Big day at our house today… my oldest daughter is graduating from college… she has a B.A. in Elementary Education. Ever since she was little she has wanted to be a school teacher and today is the day! We are very excited… Time to go to BSU and get a seat…. Thanks for looking!

My latest zentangle.... when you start these you never know how they are going to turn out... I just love doing these... sometimes it's the only thing I can get done....  I was going to post another picture but have to resize it (to large) of an art project I helped my daughter do for her college class and I have run out of time because it's time to go to work.... have a great day and thanks for looking!
