a completed project....

I spent the whole day in my "sewing" room and made a journal using my canvas that I used my zentangle stamp on.....

This is the back..... button closure

I started off with the covers of hard bound books, painted them and then applied paper towels that I dyed (learned this from my book Collage Unleashed by Traci Bautista) I ripped up the paper towels and glued them down with Mod Podge....

After letting the paper towel dry, I assembled my canvas piece using ribbon, beads, sewing, wire and collage on the back inside cover and that is this photo....
and then I had to punch holes in the cover and back (it was to thick for my little binding machine) cut up my paper and assembled my journal....
and here is another view....
What a great way to spend a Saturday being creative.  A lot of the elements I used have been an accumulation of things from the past.  Going to make more.....  thanks for looking!
