journal page progress... had been stumped...

Here is a journal page that I have been working on for quite sometime....

Sometimes when you try something it really doesn't turn out the way you thought. I started with the background making it too dark and also used a medium that was an watercolor that ran every time I added something onto it. I am going to finish it.... but.... lessons learn and that is why you keep a page in your journal.... at least that is what I think?

Thanks for stopping by.... have a great weekend and a Happy New Year!

recycled box....

I always need some kind of storage to put this and that in so I took a box - a 12-pack box and did this....

I covered it with pages from a old book.

I then started painting and gluing.

And then finished up....

It's a very sturdy box. I have done a few boxes now and they really are sturdy and it's good to recycle.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

CPS doodle challenge

Cloth, Paper, Scissors has a challenge (deadline may have passed) to doodle your arts supplies. I took a picture of some of my art supplies....

and I drew and doodled my art supplies....

I have been trying to do some of the challenges in CPS and Quilting Arts. I find that they help me keep motivated and even though I don't always successfully enter one, I do stretch myself.

Thanks for stopping by and looking! See you soon....

What to do with my collection of....

I have this great collection of ATC's from my gal pals Flygirls Artist Trading card group and from participating in Liberate Your Art postcard trade (Look for the button on my page). What to do with them all to show case them.... First I am going to take one of these composition books....

and take all of my ATC cards and postcards from Liberate Your Art trade....

And start preparing the composition book to show all my wonderful cards. Of course when you begin to create, you just have to let it flow.... I have started to prepare some  pages so I will have more to show. I should let you know... that I work on many things at once so I may show other projects in progress....

Thanks for stopping by and looking....

Completed Zentangles, blogging for 4 years now...

I am not sure where time has been going but it has been going by fast. For one thing I didn't realize that this month I have had my blog for 4 years.... Wow. I started it when I started doing Creative Everyday - November. I need to pick up speed again and start posting more often. I also didn't realize that I had not posted for a few weeks. I had some company, one of my cousins came for a visit. Here is a picture he took in my front yard of a beautiful Idaho sunset....

I did manage to complete a couple of zentangles that I had been working on for a while....

I have started another along with some other projects that I will post soon.

Well thanks for stopping by and looking! I do have more pictures to post.

Flygirls ATC CaRdS and TrAvEl

These past few weeks have been busy with work, travel for work and making some art... This past month (September) I was hostess for the ATC group I am in. What fun to get mail...

Open, look and sort....

Pack them up again to send....

And enjoy all that was sent to me as the hostess....

These are my cards that I made to trade for this month...

Even with all the technology it is still exciting to get a piece of mail and art to boot.  These are a fun group and talented.

Thanks for stopping by and looking!
