Wine bottle torch or lantern as I call it....

I have been trying to squeeze in some projects and actually made one for out side... I started with this:

I purchased from an art gallery ceramic ball/wick, hardware store and feed store the pluming supplies and re-bar post.

And this is how they turned out:

I was inspired by this web site:  http://www.gerardotandco.com/blog/recycled-bottle-torch/ but had to modify since I didn't want to attach them to the wall.... I love how they turned out.

a bit further on my screen....

I have been able to find a bit of time to add some more color to my screen....

I am loving how this is turning out. I wish my lighting was better in my room to take better pictures. I am going to try and do a bit more. I also need to work on my ATC cards that are due tomorrow for my Flytribe group. It would be wonderful to be able to work the 108 hours every two weeks I have been doing at my job on my art instead.... ummm someday. Going to go to my room...

here is another project....

Oh yes, you can never have one project at a time and here is another one I have going...

What is this you ask... well this is going to turn into a screen to block the entrance to my downstairs. I have a dog name Emmett who sometimes has '"accidents" downstairs and I don't want him to go down there anymore without me. I have this ugly old gate thing across there now and he is petrified of it because it has fallen down. I don't what a child's gate so, I decided I am going to make a screen, paint it with artwork (maybe a zentangle or paisley or two or both haven't decided). Now I like to use power tools so I got out the skill saw, measured and cut on the back of my truck. Now the next steps are to gesso the boards. More to come on this project.
