Sunday morning...

I never sleep in anymore.... so I was making my coffee Sunday morning and was looking across our property and I thought I saw a big hawk sitting in the morning sun. I grabbed my camera and started snapping some photos.

His back was to me at first and then when it started stretching it's wings, I realized it wasn't a hawk...
It is a turkey vulture.... I just love seeing all the nature that is around where I live. I caught him taking off ....

We had been having cloudy... rainy days.... one evening the clouds were breaking up a bit and the sunset was beautiful......
I love taking pictures of the sunset.....

WOW... it's May

Wow.... can't believe it's May already.... April has been a tough month for me... lot's of "stuff" going on that makes things some what tense.... mainly work has been making me tense... I was so happy I had jury duty last week. It gave me a break and I actually enjoyed it. Work makes me tired... it's a mental tiredness and it is like a circus.

This page was made using elements from a couple weeks of collage challenges from crowabout group. I liked how it turned out. The more I do the more I learn and I hopefully am getting better at this.... or should I say more creative. My big thing has always been sewing so this is pretty new to me.

This morning before I went to work I was working on my journal page "digitally"... some things did not work right so I did some cutting and gluing and came up with this. The page is for Crowabout week 31 challenge and is part of my journal. I painted the background page in my "creative" journal (I actually did a few background pages).  I picked out some of the elements on the sheet for week 31 and thought as I was watching a Giants game tonight that Spring reminds me of softball season..... Both my girls played ball, one play ASA fast pitch (along with Little League and High School ball). It's been a couple of years now and you miss it... She tried out for college ball but didn't make it.  Trying to encourage her to join a woman's league... Happy Spring!

Page in progress....

I am working on a new page....  I painted some background pages in my journal and scanned one in.  I am using it as the base for the crowabout group week 31.  I really liked how the background turned out and the colors....  I am teaching myself or should I say experimenting with all this so any tips would be great.  Where I live I haven't found any places that do workshops so I have been reading a lot of books and blogs.... have a great day!
