my "journal" mixed media pages or "antiscrapbooking"

This is new for me... I finished my first two pages of  what I thought was going to be a "book" to give to either my brother or sister but.... I have found that I am actually journalling on the page and it is turning out it's for me...  since it is not "together" or finished by any means this is the first page in my journal....  this is a result of the on-line class that I wrote about a bit ago...

and this will be my second page.... If I keep it chronological by age of use in pictures?  not sure will have to see as it I go on....

I added a bit more drawing, paint, stuck the photo down.... when I started to write I realized that this would be for me... and when I thought about when we went to Disneyland as kids it was back in 1965... can I be that old? It  does seem a lifetime ago....  thanks for looking.

something differrent....

I have been working on some.... I am not sure if you would call them journal pages or what?  I have been doing the Antiscrapbooking on-line class (which is more of an independant do it yourself class).  Above is a page in the works where I have altered the photo some what and have been working on the background as we will call it of the page.... I need to do more, looks to organized...

This one is still in the works too... The photo's are of my brother, sister and myself (I am the middle child... ha ha) Hopefully I can work on these some more this week after work.  Speaking of work... need to go... thanks for looking!

zentangle #25 - Tear Drops

A week ago this past Friday my friend lost her brother... and this past Monday I was getting ready for work and was thinkg about starting a new drawing before I went to work and a tear drop shape came to mind... and this is how I started and my progress through the week and the final outcome is the last drawing....
and as I progressed... I started filling in the tear drops... thinking of my friend and her loss... and losses that my family has had....

I then decided to add some color...as one needs to celebrate the life of one who has just passed... as tears my be for a sad feeling they can also be for happy memories...

I don't usually add colors to my drawings at this point but for some reason it just called for it and I also had the urge to draw lines to create the look of binder paper...  I used to "doodle" on binder paper....

The color just called to me in this drawing...

The final results....

I found the quote when I was almost finished.... not sure who the quote is from it did not say. I am not sure if you would call this a zentangle but that is what I am calling it. It is a sad thing when you loose some one and hopefully we can always remember the good times and things about them.... as I remember my best friend and when I would spend the night we would read Nancy Drew books by flash light as we were supposed to be asleep....  thanks for looking.
